Meet the Hosts

Fr. Chris Salamy

Fr. Christopher Salamy brings over two decades of pastoral experience, theological education, and a deep love for Scripture to everything he teaches. As the founder of the Warrior Saints Academy and the Understanding the Bible course, he offers trustworthy, clear, and Orthodox wisdom for those seeking to make sense of the Bible and live its truth.

Born in West Virginia and raised in the Orthodox Church, Fr. Chris was ordained to the priesthood in 1999 and has served as pastor of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Phoenix, Arizona since then. He holds a BA in Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University, an MDiv from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, and a Doctorate from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Fr. Chris is the author of The Way of the Warrior Saint: How to Live a Crucifixional Life, a practical and inspiring guide to living with purpose through self-sacrifice. He also hosts the daily Way of the Warrior Saint podcast, streamed on YouTube, alongside his co-host and pastoral assistant, Rev. Dn. Dr. Greg Abdalah.

Known for his ability to make the timeless teachings of the Church accessible and practical, Fr. Chris has guided thousands to a deeper understanding of Scripture and a Christ-centered way of life.

Rev. Dn. Dr. Greg Abdalah

Rev. Dn. Dr. Greg Abdalah brings a love for liturgical music, and a strong academic foundation to his pastoral work. A native of Pittsburgh, Dn. Greg earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Duquesne University in 2004, where he also began his long-standing involvement with the Antiochian Village and the Western Pennsylvania Deanery.

He received his Master of Divinity from St. Vladimir’s Seminary in 2008, with a thesis focused on youth music ministry, and later completed his Doctor of Ministry at SVS in 2018, concentrating on teaching the Divine Liturgy to young people. His work reflects a passion for making Orthodox worship and theology accessible and meaningful to the next generation.

Dn. Greg has served in various pastoral roles across the U.S., including as Pastoral Assistant and Youth Director at St. George Cathedral in Worcester, MA. He now serves as the Pastoral Assistant at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Phoenix, AZ, and is a sought-after speaker at Orthodox parishes and youth events across North America.
